Choosing Paint or other Mediums

Although there are a variety of paints that will work with our powder, we recommend our brand of paint medium as it was specifically designed for the powder.  It therefore does not have the problems associated with some over the counter paints.  Typically the biggest problem with over the counter paints is that the powder separates and therefore needs to be constantly mixed while it is being used.  Other problems are diminished glow or brush streaks.

If you would like to use a paint or medium to mix with our products other than our brand, here are the requirements:

It must not have Ultraviolet (UV) filter.

It must be clear.

For our Earth Aluminate products, it must be solvent or oil based paint.

Zinc based products can be used in water, solvent or oil based paint.

Mediums that work well with our Earth Aluminate powders:

Wax, Epoxy, Nail Polish, Plastisol

Mediums that work well with our Zinc powders:

Acrylics, Gel, Model Paint
