Painting Instructions

Glow paint is similar to any other hobby style paint.  You can simply paint it on to any surface. 

To get a smooth and even color, we suggest using several coats.

To greatly improve the look in both daylight and darkness, you can add a gloss white base coat.  We sell a solvent-based acrylic white base coat on our Glow Paint page.

To improve durability and to protect the powder from skin oils, humidity, or weather, we suggest that you paint a final layer of just clear paint.  This has to be a solvent or oil based paint with no Ultraviolet (UV) filters.  Most customers use the same paint they use for a medium.  We sell a solvent based acrylic clear coat on our Glow Paint page.

For a professional look, paint under a standard "black light" so that you can see exactly where you you have missed or need more paint.
